Cyber Kill Chain

A framework developed by Lockheed Martin that describes the stages of a cyberattack, from initial reconnaissance to exfiltration of data.

What is Cyber Kill Chain?

The seven stages are: Reconnaissance, Weaponization, Delivery, Exploitation, Installation, Command and Control, and Actions on Objectives. Security teams use this model to identify at which stage an attack can be detected or disrupted, guiding defensive investments.

Understanding this concept is crucial for maintaining a robust security posture. In the context of modern cyber threats, cyber kill chain represents a significant area of focus for security professionals and organizations alike.
